CURRAN , President, Managing Owner
As President and Managing Owner of Destroyer Graphics, LLC (“DG”), Curran will oversee all aspects of company’s day-to-day operations in the production facility and corporate offices in Jacksonville, FL. Additionally, Curran will serve on Destroyer’s Board of Managers.
Currently, Curran is living in Campeche, Mexico working in a screen printing facility owned by Fun Tee’s, Inc., a NC based t-shirt manufacturer and printer. Fun Tees, Inc. was recently purchased by Delta Apparel, a major distributor of tees and other apparel.
Curran comes to DG with 11 years of financial and management experience in the forest products industry, the last three years with Sunset Trading, a division of CellMark Inc. Sunset Trading is a paper brokerage company that buys and sells bales, rolls, sheets and cartons of various paper grades to international and domestic markets. With forty-two offices in twenty-two countries around the globe CellMark is the world’s largest marketing company specializing in pulp and paper. The 4.2 million tons shipped in 2005 was yet another industry record for a marketing company.
Curran started as a recycling salesman and rapidly advanced to the position of west coast operations manager. His duties included the oversight of 17 outside warehouses (located in eleven different states) as well as the main California facility. Curran was responsible for the management of a mid to high seven figure inventory. In addition to supervising the day to day movement of over 3100 tons of inventory per month, he was also in charge of inventory valuations and purchase recommendations. His financial responsibilities included the management of accounts payable and receivable as well as month end reporting.
In 2003 Curran was recruited (one of six people) to the corporate IT committee, to help develop a new computer software program with special procedures and applications for each of the four sales divisions. After a successful completion to the software development, Curran has since been retained as a consultant to the IT department.
Prior to working with Sunset Trading, Curran gained valuable experience during his 15 years at ABCO foods. With eighty-seven stores throughout Arizona and sales just under a billion dollars a year, ABCO foods was one of the largest grocery chains in the Southwest. Among Curran’s accomplishments at ABCO were receiving the Golden Apple Award for excellence in customer service and being recognized for the highest gross profit increase in his district for three consecutive years. Curran’s management duties included all purchasing for the grocery and liquor departments, implementing and enforcing inventory controls and loss prevention (he was a member of the company’s shrink prevention task force). Curran was also responsible for the hiring, training, promoting and scheduling of store associates. During his tenure he implemented daily, weekly and monthly marketing programs while working with each sales department and various vendors to meet the company’s sales, profit and service goals.
Upon completion of his stay in Mexico, Curran will relocate to the Jacksonville, FL area to commence operations of DG in December, 2006.
